Settimana della Scienza e Notte Europea dei Ricercatori 2010
Frascati Scienza, l’Erasmus Medical Center di Rotterdam e il CERN di Ginevra, in collaborazione con i maggiori Istituti di Ricerca Italiani, presentano la 5° edizione della Settimana della Scienza e Notte Europea dei Ricercatori, che si terrà a Frascati dal 18 al 26 settembre 2010.
La Notte Europea dei Ricercatori, venerdì 24 settembre, è l’evento attorno a cui si snoda la Settimana della Scienza di Frascati. Si tratta di un’ importante iniziativa della Comunità Europea che ha l’obiettivo di far scoprire il valore della ricerca scientifica ai cittadini. Quest’anno si svolgerà in contemporanea in oltre 260 città di 31 Paesi europei e dell’area mediterranea.
L´area scientifica di Frascati è, dagli anni 50, protagonista ed epicentro di importanti attività di ricerca di livello internazionale. Lo spirito della manifestazione di quest’anno è proprio quello di valorizzare e far conoscere ai cittadini questa importante e unica realtà. Esperimenti e ricercatori in piazza, giochi per i più piccoli, visite ai più importanti Laboratori di Ricerca Italiani ed Europei, spettacoli e caffè della scienza, permetteranno a tutti di dialogare con i ricercatori e scoprire la scienza in modo semplice e divertente. Anche quest’anno saranno tanti gli argomenti trattati. Tra i principali: energia, genetica, ambiente, astrofisica, nanotecnologie, biodiversità, mentre i partner CERN ed Erasmus Medical Center vi mostreranno il mondo delle particelle elementari e della medicina del futuro. Sotto l’Alto Patronato del Presidente della Repubblica, il progetto è promosso dalla Commissione Europea, Regione Lazio – Assessorato alla Cultura, Arte e Sport , Comune di Frascati e Filas, in collaborazione con il Comune di Grottaferrata, e la XI Comunità Montana. Week of Science and European Researchers’ Night 2010
Frascati Scienza, the Erasmus Medical Center of Rotterdam and the CERN of Geneva in collaboration with the most important Italian research institutes, presents the 5th Week of Science and European Researchers’ Night, in Frascati from 18 to 26 September 2010. Around the European Researchers’ Night, Friday, Sept. 24, runs the Science Week in Frascati.The event, an important initiative of the European Community, aims to let the public discover the value of scientific research. This year will be held simultaneously in over 260 cities in 31 European and the Mediterranean countries.
The scientific area of Frascati, is, since 50s, the center of important research activities at international level. This year, the spirit of the event is precisely to promote this unique area.
Experiments and researchers in the square, games for children, visits to major Italian and Europe an research laboratories, science shows and science coffees, will enable dialogue with researchers and help you to discover science through entertainment. You will find the answer to all your scientific questions and curiosity.

Semaine de la Science et Nuit Européenne des Chercheurs 2010
La Nuit Européenne des chercheurs au CERN,
le vendredi 24 Septembre 2010, de 17h à 01h00.
Le CERN est le plus grand laboratoire scientifique au monde. Plus de 10 000 physiciens de plus de 100 nationalités y collaborent pour faire progresser les connaissances sur la matière et l’Univers.
En partenariat avec Frascati Scienza et l’Erasmus Medical Center, le CERN vous invite à découvrir la science d’une manière simple et divertissante lors de la Nuit Européenne des chercheurs.
Au programme à Genève :
- le CERN ouvre les portes des salles de contrôle de l’accélérateur de particules le plus puissant du monde pour les jeunes de 12 à 19 ans SUR INSCRIPTION
- le Globe Show au Globe de la science et de l’innovation et en direct sur Internet, pour un tour du monde des laboratoires scientifiques
- Nocturnes aux expositions permanentes Univers de particules et le Microcosm, ouvertes jusqu’à 01h00 du matin

L’espace scientifique de Frascati est, depuis les années 50, l’épicentre d’importantes activités de recherche au niveau mondial. L’objectif de la manifestation de cette année est de valoriser et de transmettre cette dimension unique.
Expériences et chercheurs sur la place publique, jeux pour les plus petits, visites des plus importants laboratoires de recherche Italiens et Européens, spectacles et cafés scientifiques, vous permettront de dialoguer avec les chercheurs, de découvrir la science de manière simple et divertissante et combler votre soif de curiosité.

Erasmus MC presenteert op vrijdag 24 september Europees toponderzoek in Pathé Cinema
Interventies in het hart, de deeltjesversneller in Genève, kernfusie als mogelijke oplossing voor het energieprobleem en sterren kijken met de grote radiotelescopen in de wereld. Dit zijn de onderwerpen van BEST (Being a European Scientist Today), een evenement dat het Erasmus MC tijdens de Europese Nacht van de Onderzoeker presenteert in Pathé Schouwburgplein. Via live verbindingen komt contact tot stand met toponderzoeksinstituten in Europa.
Wetenschappelijk onderzoek is een internationaal bedrijf. Het Erasmus MC heeft hierin een toppositie, die zowel is gebaseerd op individuele prestaties als op samenwerking tussen vele personen en organisaties. Dit betekent dat wetenschappelijk onderzoek prachtige kansen biedt voor een internationale carrière: in het Erasmus MC vind je onderzoekers van over de hele wereld; en Nederlanders werken mee aan onderzoeken in vele landen.
Op vrijdag 24 september 2010 brengt BEST Europees toponderzoek naar het centrum van Rotterdam. Het evenement legt live verbindingen met toponderzoeksinstituten in Europa, waarbij Nederlandse experts toelichting geven. Het programma start om 17.00 uur met het laatste nieuws van de deeltjesversneller van CERN in Genève en eindigt om 00.30 op de Zuidpool waar een observatorium staat dat het op de aarde vallen van neutrino’s uit de ruimte meet.
Daarnaast is er voorafgaand aan de nacht van het onderzoek een voorproefje van wat Brains@work dit jaar te bieden heeft. Brains@work is een jaarlijks programma waarin circa 7000 scholieren kennis kunnen maken met technologie en wetenschap in en rondom Rotterdam. In de aanloop naar dit evenement is er voor de pers, voor schooldirecties en docenten een preview van drie hoogtepunten uit dit programma.
