Lo spettacolo in collegamento live con i partner europei della manifestazione Notte dei Ricercatori 2010 e con i più importanti centri di ricerca Europei e non (CERN-Ginevra, EFDA-JET-Culham Oxford, Erasmus Medical Center-Rotterdam, Massachusset Institute of Technology, VIRGO-Pisa, Kennedy Space Center, ICE CUBE-Polo Sud) ha come scopo principale, mostrare le eccellenze della ricerca italiana ed Europea e presentare il lavoro dei ricercatori italiani ed Europei, sottolineando quanto questo sia indispensabile alla crescita culturale e sociale di tutta Europa.
Durante lo spettacolo gli spettatori potranno partecipare ad esperimenti e giochi in piazza (contemporaneamente alle altre varie sedi).
L’evento sarà diviso in quattro atti durante i quali si alterneranno sul palco attività rivolte a spettatori di età differenti, che coinvolgeranno, oltre al pubblico stesso, i giovani ricercatori dell’area Tuscolana.
- 17:00 – 17:30 Introduzione dello spettacolo e collegamenti con le sedi coinvolte
- 17:30 – 18:45 BEST of chemistry con la partecipazione di Syusy Blady
Lezione-spettacolo in cui i ricercatori realizzeranno, con l’aiuto del pubblico, divertenti esperimenti di chimica che aiuteranno a comprendere fenomeni che sembrano appartenere più alla sfera magica che a quella scientifica.
Gustare, alla fine della lezione, un gelato istantaneo all’azoto liquido sarà il giusto premio per chi deciderà di partecipare attivamente allo spettacolo. - 18:45 – 19:00 Music and Theater Break

Spettacolo Astronomico condotto da ricercatori dell’Osservatorio Astronomico di Roma per mostrare le meraviglie e i misteri del cielo che ci sovrasta. Introdurrà George Smoot (premio Nobel per la scoperta delle Anisotropie del Fondo Cosmico) in diretta dall’Osservatorio di Parigi.- E-ELT European Extremely Large Telescope. Il più grande occhio mai costruito per scrutare l’Universo e osservare “da vicino” Pianeti sconosciuti e Galassie lontane nel tempo e nello spazio.
- ICE CUBE in collegamento diretto con il Polo Sud con l’esperimento a caccia di Neutrini
Collegamento con il Kennedy Space Centre con Samuel Ting (premio Nobel per la fisica 1976) e con il gruppo AMS-02 per parlare dell’esperimento AMS in prossima partenza per la Stazione Spaziale Internazionale, dove studierà la Materia Oscura, l’Antimateria e i misteri dell’Universo. Interverranno Roberto Battiston e l’astronauta Roberto Vittori.
