In occasione della Settimana della Scienza e Notte Europea dei Ricercatori, Frascati Scienza produce uno spettacolo teatrale su una delle realtà più complesse del mondo della ricerca, il precariato. Questo tipo di rapporto professionale, non tutelante e sottopagato, assume un aspetto particolare in un lavoro, come quello del ricercatore, dove formazione, libertà di azione e finanziamento sono le chiavi fondamentali per nuove idee e scoperte.
Have experiences of precarious work in the field of Research? You want your story be known?
During Science Week and European Researchers’ Night, Frascati Scienza produces a theater play about one of the most complex subject of the world of research: precarious. This kind of professional relationship, unprotected and underpaid, plays a conditioning role in this kind of a job. The researcher, infact, to have new ideas and to discover, need training, freedom of action and financing.
The research system is put seriously in crisis when there is no innovation that can only be given from young people. This is difficult when who is trained is forced to leave, when after 20 years of study and work someone must change job, and when is forced to do something very different from what he has always done.
Il sistema ricerca viene messo in grave crisi quando manca l’innovazione che solo i giovani possono dare, quando chi vine formato e’ costretto ad andarsene, quando dopo 20 anni di studi e lavoro si deve cambiare mestiere, per farne spesso uno in cui tutto ciò che si e’ imparato serve a poco.

Il Format è un nuovo approccio al teatro. Un Teatro civile che non insegna, ma ricerca, non giudica bensì osserva. Un “esperimento urbano”. L’idea è quella di abbattere la quarta parete e di costruire insieme agli “spettatori” una storia. Anzi tante storie. Le storie narrate dalle loro testimonianze.
Abbiamo chiesto agli ascoltatori “precari della scienza” dalle più importanti Radio di Roma di mandarci le loro testimonianze… per farle diventare “storie in carne ed ossa”. Insomma abbiamo chiesto al paese reale la propria testimonianza.
Questo è l’esperimento.
Ma l’incipit di tutto è un monologo. “L’Italia è una Repubblica affondata sul lavoro”. Questa è stata l’idea scatenante. Da lì è nata la voglia di creare questa “rete urbana di testimonianze”.
Testimonianze sul precariato, sui ricercatori che non possono fare ricerca, sulla ricerca rubata… maltrattata… sul lavoro che non si trova o che si trova e si è costretti ad abbandonare per vari motivi. Un incontro con l’altra parte della ricerca. Quella che la stampa non tratta. Quella dimenticata.
Anche le testimonianze pervenute via mail verranno lette dagli attori.
Chiuderà la serata il monologo ”L’Italia è una repubblica affondata sul lavoro” scritto da Elisabetta Cianchini e Regia di Luigi Moretti.

The Format is a new approach to theater. A civil theatre that does not teach but research, that does not judge but looks. The idea is to build, together with the audience, a story. Actually, many stories and experiences.
We asked precarious researchers who listen to the most important Rome Radio Channel to send their stories, in order to make them close to everybody . Even the testimony received by mail will be read by actors. We asked the real country to testify. This, is the experiment.

Testimonials about precarious, about researchers that can not do research, about Research stolen … abused …. To meet the other part of the research. That one about the press doesn’t speak. That one, which is forgotten.
