2013 International Masterclass in Modern Physics “Physics in the 21st Century” – Third Edition, February 4-7 2013
The Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), Frascati (Rome) Italy, are organizing the Third Edition of the International Masterclass in Modern Physics – “Physics in the 21st Century” (INTELPhys21@LNF)
The Masterclass, to be held in the period February 4 – 7, 2013 is open for about 40 students in last year(s) of high school/college coming from all European countries. It is going to be organized in lectures on Modern Physics and its applications in Society, with particular care to the “hot topics”, and in activities to be performed in laboratories. The participants will have, as well, the opportunity to visit the main experiments and accelerator facilities of the LNF.

The activity is free of charge; however, the participants should provide for travel, accommodation and dinner expenses (lunch is organized at the LNF canteen).
In order to participate, the high-schools/colleges should send an official application to LNF indicating the names of at most 2 students selected according to their curricula. Since we expect many participants, we will apply the rule that first comers will be advantaged. Please indicate in the application:
- -name and type of school
- -name and contact of the school science teacher in charge for the organization
- -names of max 2 students and their curricula, date and place of birth
- -declaration of insurance policy

The deadline for application is November 20.The LNF Communication and Scientific Education Office will contact the schools selected in order to define the details for the participation.
